Prior to joining the Police, Rob was an apprentice with
Wimbledon F.C. He has played for Inter Cardiff in the league of Wales and
also represented the British Police in the European Police Championships. |
Dave Malling
(Defender)

A strong powerful defender, Dave is also the Force
representative for Dyfed-Powys in the Welsh Police Committee. |
Dave Lee
(Defender)
|
A regular member of the Welsh Squad currently playing in
the Pembrokeshire league. A very reliable pacey defender. |
Chris Curtis
(Defender)
|
Now reaching the veteran stage. Chris has represented
Knighton, Brecon Corries and Builth Wells in the mid Wales league. |
Russell Thomas
(Defender)
|
An all round athlete Russell participates in marathon
running, mountain biking and rugby as well as being a first class
footballer. |
Alex Goss
(Defender)
|
A debutante in the Welsh squad. Alex has recently
transferred from Greater Manchester Police, had 4 years at Wrexham as an
Apprentice Pro, played 4 seasons in league of Wales. |
Mike Thomas
(Defender)
|
A newcomer to the Welsh squad. Mike has vast playing
experience in Neath, Swansea, and Newport leagues. Currently playing for
Christchurch AFC |
Simon White
( Midfield / Defender)
|
An accomplished defender who has played for Risca and
Caldicot in the Welsh league. Has also represented the Welsh colleagues. |
Paul Taylor
(Defender)
|
A strong left sided player Paul is a relative newcomer to
the squad. Currently playing for Rogerstone in the Gwent County league. |
Gareth Price
(Defender)
|
Gareth is a regular member of the Welsh Squad who played as
a striker for several seasons but is currently playing in central defence. |
Mike Hill
(Defender)
|
Another regular member of the squad. Mike is a very pacey
full back who will cause problems to most defences when he ventures
forward. |
Marcus Taylor
(Midfield)
|
Marcus formerly represented Welsh Universities and now
plays in the Pembrokeshire league. Can perform a striking role when
necessary. |
Mark Chaplin
(Midfield)
|
A regular in the Welsh Squad for the last 8 seasons. Has
played for Cwm Welfare AFC for the last 11 years. (Due to a testimonial). |
Faried Taleb
(Midfield / Defender)
|
Another newcomer to the Welsh Squad. Has played for
Camberley Town in the Vauxhall Conference league, and represented the
Army. Currently plays for Newport Corinthians in the Gwent County league. |
Jason White
(Midfield)
|
Plays in the Gwent league, but has previous Welsh league
experience. He has represented with English Counties and the Gwent Central
league. |
Wayne Davies
(Striker)
|
A former Welsh Schoolboy International and Apprentice with
Swansea City. Currently playing Welsh league football. |
Richard Heath
(Striker / Defender)
|
Currently plays for Cardiff Corries. Has played for Cardiff
City, Luton Town FC, Ton Pentre, Inter Cardiff and several other clubs. A
Welsh Schoolboy U18 International. Another debutante in the Welsh Squad. |
Justin Noble
(Midfield)
|
Has represented Merthyr Tydfil AFC at youth and Welsh
league levels. Also represented South Wales Police and Merthyr Police. |
Andy Davies
(Striker)
|
Has recently joined North Wales Police. A skillful and
intelligent player who is currently playing in the Cymru Alliance league. |
Gareth Martin
(Striker)
|
Another Welsh debutante. A strong forceful member who has
gained Welsh International caps at Schoolboy and Youth levels. |
Mark Kendall
(Team Coach)
|
A former professional with Newport County and Spurs
etc, Mark is now in his second stint as Welsh Police Team Coach. Due to
his vast knowledge of the game and his motivational skills there is
already a marked improvement in the teams performance. |
Bruce Brown
(Assistant Coach)
|
A part Welsh Police player who had experience with Trammere
Rovers. Has represented Gwent Police at Force and Veterans level for over
20 years. |
